I was very pleased with how knowledgeable and patient Sam was. His personal attention and eye for detail was refreshing and I learnt more than I thought I would with him. Worth every cent, and I would highly recommend him for all levels of competence.
Thank you Sam!
Thank you for this class. It was an eye-opener. I enjoyed the scenarios. I would like to take other classes in the future as from every scenario we learn something different.
Thank you for putting together this class. I really enjoyed it. After all these years of IDPA and classes I was finally able to put together what I have learned and use it on moving human targets, plus we had to make judgment calls, which you do not do in IDPA, but you do in real life. A real eye-opening… I think this type of class (Force on Force) is definitely the next step in improving your self-defense skills and should be practice often. Sam, if you have a plan on putting together an advance class, please let me know I will be happy to assist and participate.
Excellent experience. No BS lessons learned.
Omega SBT’s practical approach to training is based on real-world scenarios and meets the needs of anyone looking to learn how to protect themselves. Sam is an excellent instructor and truly an expert. He has the unique ability to take his decades of experience and distill it down into an approachable manner for a novice like me. I’ve seen marked improvements in my shooting and defensive skills in just a couple of classes.
Well, I am very happy to have taken this class. The idea of when to shoot is vital if you carry a firearm.
IDPA is pretty easy sometimes. Nonthreat targets are clearly marked, and everyone else needs shooting. Life is different. We do not have a crystal ball when we’re shopping or walking the dog late at night. An IDPA nonthreat costs us a few seconds off our score, and nobody gets arrested or sued.
I think the two areas most people lack in their training are when to shoot, and what to do post-shooting when interacting with police and witnesses. Sam’s excellent class offers some very good focused training that can help us decide when to shoot and when not to shoot. This is a huge issue and one we all have an opportunity to take part in at a VERY REASONABLE cost. I think the only unrealistic thing in class is that we all know each, other and we know “something” is going to happen. We don’t know what, but we know we’ll be shooting someone soon. In life we walk around in condition yellow (and maybe sometimes white) and we never know when that something might happen. We will never be prepared enough, but I liked the opportunity I had today and hope to take a follow-up class in the near future.
Thank you very much Sam!
I have trained with Sam and highly recommend him for all types of firearms training as well as self-defense training. Anyone who is looking for an extremely capable teacher with a tremendous amount of knowledge needs to look no further. Sam is articulate, precise, and extremely easy to work within the training I did with him I increased my knowledge and ability tenfold in a very short period of time. I highly recommend using him for anyone looking to further there knowledge and experience in firearms training. I will definitely be using Sam as an instructor again and will have my son take lessons from him when he returns from traveling abroad.
Thank you for offering this class to us. I know that I made a lot of “mistakes” however I do realize that this is the place to do it. I gained a lot from this experience, and it has also given me a lot to think about. I’m certainly considering a follow-up class if you offer it. Since I’ve never had any military or LEO experience (or even paint-ball for that matter), this has certainly given me a new perspective on what I think I train for.
I’ve been to this training and was really impressed. I think everyone who carries a gun should get it, it made me think completely different on a whole concept of carrying a gun. And, there were so many nuances which I never thought of before. It is just amazing.
Excellent reactionary class. Real-life scenarios. I’d suggest practicing your CCW draw prior to this class. Humbling.
Force on Force Level 1 was a great experience for me. I feel more comfortable with concealed carry now. Being able to work out real-world scenarios while receiving Sam’s expert advice is priceless.

As one of the leaders in a Jewish community, I have felt the need to get professional weapons training. I have had the pleasure of taking classes with Sam Barbakoff. The instruction was clear and concise, and the information was practiced in a real way. One thing that was emphasized, was the importance of safety, both in the class and generally, which is important for me, since I have a large family. I enthusiastically recommend Sam’s classes to anyone who wants to learn more.
I have travelled from Jacksonville just to take a one-on-one lesson with Sam! It was simply fantastic!
Sam is a great instructor and an amazing person!
I have learned so much and enjoyed every minute of it. The whole trip was well worth it!
I highly recommend Sam’s classes to all, who are serious about firearms and want to develop their personal abilities to operate weapons with confidence!
I am looking forward to taking Sam’s force-on-force class in the near future.
Thank you, Sam!!!
Very good instructor, very professional, I got a lot of positive energy and a very good experience.
I will continue to study only with him!
I recommend to everyone !!!
Thank you very much Sam!
My friend introduced me to Sam about 3 years ago. Took a class. I was so impressed and motivated by Sam – I became a “Regular” Taking every possible class I can take. It will take long time to make a list of all qualities he poses and teaches. Will be better for you to join the class and become a part of this great team.
